Seems crazy simple, but so powerful to improve your digestion and health!
In our rushed world, we often don’t slow down to chew our food. The simple act of chewing our food more can be a simple and inexpensive way to help us improve our health.
🍎Chewing has many benefits
Making food size smaller to make it easier on our digestive system which allows better absorption of nutrients
More contact with saliva that contains enzymes that begin the digestive process AND help remineralizer tooth enamel
May help decrease acid reflux
🌟Fight-or-Flight versus Rest-and-Digest
When we are in a rushed or stressed mode our body is designed to go into survival mode, not a restful state. Our bodies were designed to eat at a more restful, slower pace. By chewing more with each bite, we slow down and help our body go into a more restful state.
🥦🍴The How To CHEW
First, just pay attention to how many times you chew your bites.
Next, try to add more chewing to each bite. Go slow if you need to.
Then, try to chew each bite15-30 times.
When I first tried it I felt like a goat! Gradually it felt less awkward and more “normal”.
